Important factors for Air Condition

Split AC

1. ROOM PARAMETERS:

>>   How many windows & doors are there?
 >>   Is direct sunlight reaching in your room?
 >>   What is the height of Ceiling?
 >>   Is your room terrace flat?

2. USAGE:

Are you using it for 2-3 hrs or 10-12 hrs?

If your room is 100 Sq feet & sunlight reaching to the 2 walls & it is terrace flat then 1 ton AC is not worth as loads goes on increasing on the compressor & hence AC might get damaged early. [In such case non-inverter AC is best if u r using it for 2-3 hrs.]

Inverter and non-inverter air conditioner difference:

The key difference between an inverter and non-inverter air conditioner is that an inverter air conditioner can regulate the speed of its compressor motor.  In comparisonnon-inverter motors only run at full speed or stop. The motor runs at full speed, but turns off once room temperature drops to the desired level.

Inverter aircons are inherently more energy-efficient and will help you save on your monthly bills. Also, because of this energy-efficient feature, inverter aircons are regarded as an environmentally-friendly system as it uses 30-50% less energy than a non-inverter type.

Important Fact of Star Rating:

Indian Season Energy Efficiency Ratio (ISEER) is more important than star rating.
Higher the rating better will be your AC.

Sound / Noise Level:

Good AC gives sound between 25-45 decibels.

Inverter AC:

Usage is 10-12 hrs. or more than it.
Air leakage is high. Then it is suitable.

Benefits of Inverter AC:

Power efficiency is good. [Power consumption is low]
Compressor works on variable speed, Hence it gives efficient cooling with maintaining constant temp.
Noise is also low.

Voltas 2 Ton 3 Star

BTU [British Thermal Unit Heat thermal per hour heat extraction capacity] :

1 ton = 12000 BTU/hr

1.5 ton = 18000 BTU/hr

2 ton = 24000 BTU/hr

Requirements of Area:

130 Sq feet room needs = 1 ton AC
130-200 Sq feet room needs = 1.5 ton AC
200-300 Sq feet room needs = 2 ton AC

Most Important guideline for installation of AC:

Precaution:

After booking AC always check indoor box & outdoor box (Compressor) – both have similar model number.
Let the installer has to open all box of AC. Because if anything is damaged inside the box, then it’s their responsibility. Do not open yourself.
Check for mishandling of indoor box when it is opened. Keep it in soft surface like bed so that it does not get any scratches. Always check that all parts are taken out of box including manual kit.

Portable Air Conditioners

Placement:

Do not install AC above your door.
Do not install AC above your TV / music system. [As it generates more heats & Your AC will cause to damage your TV/music system due to water leakage in future]

Installation of AC:

Your Indoor (Main AC) should be installed at up to 7.5 – 8 feet above. (At 90 inch distance from ground level) & also 1 feet gap should be maintained from the roof (Below 6 inch from top level) and from both side there should be 1 feet gap [Indoor side gap is 6 inch if not possible then keep at least 5 inch]
Wire joints should done properly
